The Book Today and Tomorrow: A Conversation with Amaranth Borsuk and Shaun Vigil

Join us for a conversation between Amaranth Borsuk and Shaun Vigil on how we conceive of what "the book" is, means, and signifies given the current moment.

Dr. Borsuk is a poet and associate professor in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at the University of Washington. Her most recent book is The Book (MIT Press, 2018), a brief introduction to the book as object, content, idea, and interface published in the MIT Press Essential Knowledge series.

Shaun Vigil is editor for humanities at Temple University Press. Vigil's career has been centered within academic book publishing; previously serving in editorial roles at Palgrave Macmillan, Cambridge University Press, and Columbia University Press. Vigil holds a degree in history and literature from Harvard University.
