Locate, Mix and Create Open Educational Course Materials with LibreTexts

LibreTexts is the largest online Open Educational Resources (OER) library with more than 700 books and learning materials in 13 disciplines.  LibreTexts offers the construction platform Libretexts ReMixer for faculty to assemble interactive content for their courses.  LibreTexts' centralized platform integrates many features, including annotation, computation, 3D visualization, multimedia and more.  Help is available in online office hours and discussion groups.

This hands-on workshop by Josh Halpern will give participants the skills needed to find, mix, and create OER content on the LibreTexts platform.  Josh Halpern is Professor Emeritus at Howard University and currently an adjunct at Prince George’s Community College where he assists with the zero-cost textbook initiative.  He joined the LibreTexts project in 2013, creating branded LibreTexts (e.g. General Chemistry: An Atoms First Approach) for his general chemistry class at Howard University.
