Intro to VR: Creating Environments in VR and Exploring VR Applications

This workshop will introduce attendees to methodologies for using virtual reality to conduct research. We will discuss the software used for developing VR environments, Unity, and we will collaboratively create a unique VR environment. We will test this VR environment using virtual reality headsets in the Scholars Studio’s VR Lab. During the second half of the workshop, we will explore other uses for VR such as 3D modeling through Tilt Brush. We will close out the workshop by answering any questions related to how VR can be used in a variety of fields such as education and gaming and discuss the general benefits this technology is able to offer.
