Temple Book Club Discussion: The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes

All are welcome to join us for an informal discussion of The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes.

The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes is a historical fiction novel about a group of women who become Packhorse Librarians in Depression-era Kentucky, delivering books to remote areas as part of Eleanor Roosevelt's traveling library project. Inspired by a true story, the book follows Alice Wright as she escapes her stifling life in England and finds independence and strong female friendships while navigating the challenges of rural life, prejudice, and romance in the Appalachian Mountains. It's a story about female empowerment, the power of books, and the bonds of friendship, praised for its strong characters and historical detail.

Light refreshments provided.

We will have limited copies of the books available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact Brenda Galloway-Wright at brenda.galloway-wright@temple.edu with any questions or to request a copy of the book.
