Literature Mapping for Research

Literature mapping is a way to discover scholarly articles by exploring connections between publications using citation information and other metadata. These connections can be explored manually in databases such as Web of Science, Google Scholar, and PubMed, and through free tools like Connected Papers, LitMaps, and Open Knowledge Maps, that create graphical representations of linked literature. In this session, participants will learn the principles of literature mapping, how to start a literature map manually, and be introduced to free browser-based literature mapping tools.

This workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop. You will receive a registration confirmation email, which includes the Zoom link. This workshop will not be recorded, but a copy of the slides will be emailed after the workshop concludes.
