Map Anything in Your Browser: An Introduction to GeoLibre

GeoLibre is a new, free, open-source GIS that runs entirely in your web browser. Nothing to install, no account to create, and your data never leaves your machine. If installing desktop software is the reason you have never tried GIS, this is the session for you.

You will drag and drop your own spatial files onto the map, style and inspect them, pull in remote layers by URL, edit features directly, and save a project you can share as a link. We will also look at how the same project opens in the desktop, mobile, and Jupyter versions of the tool, so nothing you build here is trapped in a browser tab.

Useful on its own, and a natural follow-on if you attended the QGIS session the week before. No prior mapping experience required.

This workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop to receive the Zoom link via a confirmation email. On the day of the workshop, use the link to join the session.
