Network Analysis of Scholarly Citations with Dimensions.ai and Gephi

This workshop will introduce attendees to the principles of network analysis, offering hands-on demonstrations of applying this methodology to the study of scholarly citation networks for measuring the impact of academic research within and across disciplines. During the first half of this workshop, attendees will learn how to access the Dimensions database and use their built-in network analysis and related visualization tools. During the second half, attendees will learn how to download datasets from Dimensions and use an non-proprietary network analysis tool, Gephi, to analyze a citation dataset. If you're interested in learning about the basics of network analysis or the workings of scholarly networks and research impact, please join! Any questions can be sent to Alex Wermer-Colan at alex.wermer-colan@temple.edu.

This workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop to receive the Zoom link via a confirmation email. On the day of the workshop, use the link to join the session.
