Integrating Open Access Resources into your Canvas Course

Integrating Open Access Resources into your Canvas Course

Faculty have many choices nowadays when it comes to identifying course materials -- from online textbooks and video content to news articles and PDF files. Some materials are more cost effective than others which can impact student engagement. Canvas invites new ways of thinking about how faculty can integrate a range of course materials as well as draw inspiration from existing learning objects. Join us to learn about tools you can use in Canvas -- such as open educational resources, library-licensed content, Ares course reserves, and the Canvas Commons -- to make it both easy and cost effective for your students to access the materials with which you most want them to engage. Bring your laptop or borrow one from the Digital Scholarship Center. This workshop requires some experience with Canvas.
