Research Data Management 101

This session will cover requirements and current initiatives around data management, sharing and reproducibility coming from NSF, NIH, publishers and the broader scientific community. We will provide an introductory nuts and bolts approach to data management, including the following topic areas:

  • Concrete steps you can take to better manage your data
  • Documenting your research to comply with current and upcoming data management and sharing requirements
  • Tools that can be used to better organize and document your data throughout the research process
  • Platforms for sharing your research data
