Let the Fire Burn! A Screening and Discussion with Director Jason Osder

Join us for a screening of Let the Fire Burn! (2013) followed by a discussion with director Jason Osder.

This documentary film chronicles the events leading up to and surrounding the May 13, 1985 stand-off and ensuing violence in West Philadelphia between the Black liberation group MOVE and the Philadelphia Police Department. Using archival news coverage and footage from the Pennsylvania Special Investigation Commission, much of the film’s content comes from Temple University Libraries’ Special Collections Research Center.
