3D Scanning and Modeling

This four session workshop will introduce the fundamental techniques of  3D scanning and 3D modeling. We will discuss the technologies’ practical uses as well as artistic potentiality, experimenting with distorting and abstracting 3D scans.  We will look at a range of programs including Blender, Sculptris, and Sketch-up and discuss the pros and cons of each.

This workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop to receive the Zoom link via a confirmation email. On the day of the workshop, use the link to join the session. Participants do not need a video camera or a microphone, but will need an audio connection to hear the instructor.
