A History of Montford Point Marines, A partnership with the Montford Point Marine Association, Chapter 1, Auxiliary

This program presents a history of the Montford Point Marines who were the first African Americans to serve in the U.S. Marines during World War II. Participants include Montford Point Marine Association, Philadelphia Chapter 1 President, Joseph H. Geeter along with first person accounts from original Montford Point Marines. Reflections will be given on two Philadelphia Montford Point Marines who resided in North Philadelphia, Cecil B. Moore (by Chapter 1 Auxiliary member Karen Asper Jordon) and Floyd Alston (by Dr. Kenneth Scott).
