Introduction to Ethical and Legal Issues in Text Data Mining

Text mining researchers face ethical and legal challenges in collecting and analyzing data and sharing their results. This 1.5 hour, single-session workshop will overview and provide strategies for four of those challenges--ethics, privacy, copyright, and licensing--drawing on materials from the Building Legal Literacies for Text Data Mining (LLTDM) Institute

This workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop to receive the Zoom link via a confirmation email. On the day of the workshop, use the link to join the session. Participants do not need a video camera or a microphone, but will need an audio connection to hear the instructor.
