Make Your Courses Affordable with Open Textbooks and Open Educational Resources (OER)

This session serves as an introduction to open educational resources (OER) and the ways that Temple University Libraries can support faculty in the discovery and integration of them. OERs are openly-licensed, freely available educational materials that can be modified and redistributed by users. They can include any type of educational resource, from textbooks and videos to assignments and syllabi. OER can help lower the cost of course materials for students, in addition to providing a more accessible, inclusive learning experience.

Participants will be able to define OERs, learn how to find textbooks and other materials, and understand the many ways that Temple Libraries support faculty in their use of open educational materials.

This workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop to receive the Zoom link via a confirmation email. On the day of the workshop, use the link to join the session. Participants do not need a video camera or a microphone, but will need an audio connection to hear the instructor.

This workshop will be recorded. Register to attend the live session or to receive a copy of the recording.
