Mapping Raster Data with QGIS

Mapping Raster Data with QGIS

This three hour, single-session workshop will focus on the basics of raster data. We will cover what raster data is, where to find free raster data and how to handle it using QGIS. The workshop seeks to introduce participants to the use of raster data and expand their knowledge of map-making tools. It is highly recommended but not necessary to take first the workshop "Basics of Map-Making with QGIS". The workshop is open to students, faculty, and anyone interested in mapping and interacting with Geographic Information Systems - GIS.

This workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop to receive the Zoom link via a confirmation email. On the day of the workshop, use the link to join the session. Participants do not need a video camera or a microphone, but will need an audio connection to hear the instructor.

This workshop will be recorded. Register to attend the live session or to receive a copy of the recording.
