Digital Publishing Platforms in the Classroom

Are you tired of assigning traditional research paper assignments? Do you want to try something new with your students?

In this workshop, we’ll showcase two popular, open source digital publishing platforms, Scalar and Omeka. After providing a short overview of the features of each, we’ll give examples of how they can be used in the classroom by students to create dynamic, multimedia- rich, public-facing projects.
