Learning History by Playing Games

Learning History by Playing Games

Games have a lot to teach us about a variety of subjects. In this workshop, participants will learn how to play a classic 4X videogame like Civilization. We will spend a couple hours playing together and learning the mechanics and game design. This play session will be sandwiched by discussions of how history functions as a process, how games work, and how games can be used as educational tools.

All programs are free and open to all. Registration is encouraged.
