SUMMARY:ArcGIS: Mapping Biographies and Histories
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is designed for those interested in the 
 application of digital cartography in academic research. Participants will 
 explore the capabilities of ArcGIS for visualizing historical and 
 biographical data through the creation of interactive maps. The session 
 will provide instruction on integrating geographical and temporal 
 dimensions\, transforming raw data into visual narratives.\n\nIdeal for 
 students in art history\, history\, geography\, and related fields\, this 
 workshop offers hands-on experience with GIS technology to enhance research 
 and digital visualization skills. No experience necessary\; students of any 
 level are encouraged to participate.\n\nThe workshop will be led by Jessica 
 Braum\, a doctoral candidate in the Department of Art History and an LCDSS 
 extern\, whose research focuses on transnational feminism and the art of 
 Southeast and East Asia. \n\nThis workshop will be offered as an online 
 session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop to receive the Zoom
